As a photographer I know the importance of a good make-up for my client's photo sessions. Apart from the *amazing feel-good* sensation that a professional make-up can cause (who doesn't want to feel a little more diva for a day?), it positively affects the final result of my work when done by a professional.
And I was soooo happy when I met Debora! She is not only an excellent make-up artist and amazing hair stylist (only ONE of her many attributes) but she is also from my hometown in Brazil and has worked with one of my best childhood friends! Talk about coincidences!
You will get to know a little bit more about her, this talented Brazilian who moved to NYC and is taking Manhattan by storm!
One day she decided to leave everything behind and follow her dreams, her passion for make-up and hair style design. She was already working hard and being successful in her hometown in Brazil, Belo Horizonte, when her husband was invited to work in Atlanta, GA. It took them one year to prepare for the big move so she decided to improve her craft, getting degrees from famous beauty Institutes in Brazil. Atlanta didn't happen as planned and they ended up moving to the big apple. " New York was never in our plans..but here we are!!" . The Brazilian was not afraid of starting over and she took the challenge! After a rough beginning, even considering to pack and go back home, a client of hers added her to an amazing Facebook group, formed by Brazilian women who live in NYC, NJ and CT. " It opened many doors", she says.
With love and dedication for everything she does, Debora was able to show her amazing skills and technique, sharing some of her knowledge with many clients and friends. Through workshops, blog, vlogs (video blogs) and Facebook page, she keeps up with her clients, friends and fans, who enjoy her beauty tips and of course, Debora's lovable personality.

Debora has clients from all backgrounds, from stay-at-home moms to models from different nationalities. And they all mean a lot to the Brazilian make-up artist. Word of mouth is so powerful and for this she is very thankful. Her clients spread the word about her amazing eyebrow design, and it has become an instant hit among the Brazilian community.
She is enjoying her new life fully happy in the city that never sleeps. She has made many friends in her journey in New York and with the support of her husband she continues to work hard and work with clients who love and recommend her to everyone, from make-up and hair style to waxing! Services with a professional who is a joy to have in the comfort of your own home!

Living in NY isn't so different from her hometown in Brazil but being away from family is definitely the hardest part. This brave Brazilian lady knows what means to work hard and follow your dreams ... and the barriers are only one more step towards success.
