Last week I had the pleasure to meet and photograph this very cool family! Parents + 3 girls. 3 different personalities!  The location was a challenge when I first heard of it,  but then I took in consideration how much it meant to them better than going to a park that probably wouldn't have the same impact. And the light was good after all :) 

I learned something I already had in the back of my mind but never really applied. Since clients usually ask me where we should meet for the session, I suggest a nice place that means something to them OR a park (Central Park knows me!).The second option almost always wins!   I know we are always looking for the nice spot with good light (well, that is kind of important of course) and that amazing background. But nothing compares to a place where people can feel at home.  I had this feeling with this session and from now on I will take an extra effort to encourage people to chose a place that means something special to them. You can see that in the pictures and for me as a photographer, is PRICELESS :)
